HIV test for a work permit
Please be informed that starting July 1, 2011 to obtain a work permit foreign nationals are required to have HIV-medical certificates issued only by state or municipal medical institutions.This is on the basis of the Decree of Moscow Chief sanitary doctor #9 dated 13.05.2011. Please, find the list of the allowed medical institutions here.
The above stated Decree has established the requirement for medical check-ups only with regards to HIV. The inspectors of the Federal Immigration Department of Moscow have confirmed that medical check-ups confirming absence of leprosy, tuberculosis, syphilis, chlamydia, chancroid and drug addiction can be carried in commercial clinics.
Please pay attention that HIV-certificate should be submitted if a work permit is processed according to the regular procedure (which includes obtaining of an employment permission, etc.). Highly qualified specialists are not required to submit any medical certificates.
