Immigration audits in Russia

The Russian immigration system has changed significantly over recent years.

Some of the changes include the amendment of several laws and the introduction of some new regulations to improve procedures and make them more straightforward. However, the current situation concerning the immigration & employment of foreign nationals in Russia is still far from clear and needs the careful attention of companies seeking to employ foreign nationals. It is obvious that non-compliance with immigration regulations creates a significant risk for foreign nationals and their employers. The sanctions are serious, varying from fines up to 800 000 Rubles (approx. $28 000) for a violation, suspension of company operations for up to 90 days, and even imprisonment.
